Great Divide Consulting develops and co-ordinates community based health and wellness programs. The business assists individuals, families and groups to achieve optimal physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.

Great Divide Consulting also has a mandate to develop multimedia with a historical and cultural focus. Programs, films, books, and transmedia narratives are designed to build self-esteem in ‘self, families, communities and beyond. The company also specializes in website development, graphic design, social media and transmedia content creation, that has a nursing focus.

The Nurse

Susan Feddema-Leonard is a member of the College Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Susan has studied extensively with the late Virginia Satir, a healer who became known by many as the “Columbus of Family Therapy.” She was also the Past Chair of the Grant MacEwan Community College Holistic Health Advisory Committee. This program trained holistic health practitioners to understand that the body, mind and spirit are connected in complex ways

Accomplishments

Susan is an author of four books on the people and landscapes of Alberta’s eastern slopes and is a professional filmmaker. She is co-founder of the Willmore Wilderness Foundation and founder of People & Peaks Productions Ltd.

Susan is the Director/Producer of the thirteen-part one-hour Canadian Rockies Series produced by People & Peaks Productions Ltd. The documentaries have twenty-eight (28) nominations for the Alberta Film and Television Rosie Awards.  Susan is the Past President of Women in Film and Television Alberta. She is also a member of the Alberta Media Production Industries Association (AMPIA) and the Writers’ Guild of Alberta.

Susan is also co-owner of a family run guide and outfitting business called High Country Vacations. She is an experienced horse woman, trail hand, mountain guide and back country cook.
